Kindergarten is the beginning of an exciting learning journey. Our Kindergarten program provides students the opportunity for learning, self-expression and self-discovery in all areas of the curriculum - language, mathematics, science & technology, physical education and the arts, all offered within a welcoming and nurturing environment.

At Sydenham Public School we are committed to your child's development from Kindergarten to graduation. Together, we can help your child realize their dreams.

At the time of registration, please bring the following to our school:
  • Completed Kindergarten Registration Form (new student registration form)
  • Proof of your child's age (a birth certificate, a baptismal certificate, a passport, etc.)
  • Your child's Ontario Health Card (optional)
  • Your child's immunization record (visit KFL&A Public Health website for more information)
Sydenham Public School welcomes Junior and Senior Kindergarten students year round, but encourages parents and guardians to pre-register children in February for the upcoming school year.

Children may start school in September if they turn age 4 (Junior Kindergarten) or turn age 5 (Senior Kindergarten) by December 31st of that year. Those students already enrolled in Junior Kindergarten do not need to register again.

Kindergarten is a wonderful experience and your child's first leg on his/her journey of learning. Sydenham Public School and its staff are committed to ensuring that this is a great start to school.
